How hard is your fight? When things are stacked up against you, how persistent are you? How tough are you? There are a lot of people who like to claim toughness, but how many of us REALLY have that fight in us? Or as the kids say these days... "Who really got that DAWG in them?" Well, one thing you should definitely know about me is that I don't like to fight!
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE TO FIGHT!!! What I mean is, I love to go against something. To battle. It's just part of my competitiveness. But something interested that I've also learned about myself is that I'm WAY more eager to fight the battles that I think I can win. If I know I'm going to smack you down or even if I think I have a pretty decent shot to win, I'm READY! You about to get this SMOKE! And that's all good, but what about when you are completely outnumbered, and the odds are stacked up against you. When everybody else says it can't be done because they couldn't do it.
When I think about what it really takes to be a winner, that's when the REAL DAWGS shine. How much trash do you talk after getting punched in the mouth a few times? It's amazing to see athletes go through this and watch which ones get quiet and which ones keep the same energy no matter the situation. If you're really him/her... then let me see that ALL THE TIME!
I've been watching some situations and people around me crumble, and it seems I'm being thrust into a position to test my DAWGNESS. (Just made that word up) I watched some absolute softball DAWGS last night and it made me reflect. Am I really about that action or will I give in to my environment and surroundings? I'm digging my heels into the dirt and fighting harder than ever! I need ya'll to hold me accountable when you see me, and I'll make sure to do the same for you. Our community needs it more that ever right now. WHERE MY DAWGS AT?
